Mark Philip Lichtenstein is a film maker, writer and professional magician from New York City. Recent work includes developing two half-hour comedy pilots for Sinclair Broadcast Group, comedy videos for The Creative Council (comedians who created content to support the Clinton campaign) and developing, producing, directing, and or editing content for comedians from the Upright Citizens Brigade and People’s Improv Theater communities. Other favorite clients and/or partners include Big Vision Creative, Cutter Productions, Lead Pencil Comedy, Sam Morril (Comedy Central), and Keisha Zollar (HBO). Recent comedy clients include Megan Sass, Rasheda Crockett, Melanie Owens, Ana Maria Defillo, and many more.
Mark’s work has been featured on The Onion’s AV Club, IndieWire, Esquire, Entertainment Weekly, Funny or Die, Refinery29, British Comedy Guide, The Daily Dot, IAF.tv, Huffington Post, Bustle, The Mary Sue, and others, and festivals including The DAMN! Lovecraft Film Festival, etc. Mark has worked in post-production at ABC, CBS, and more, on shows including Good Morning America, World News Tonight, Nightline, and others.
As a magician, Mark performs close-up magic and mind reading at private parties, and consults for stage, screen, and even the art world. He also donates his magical performances to charities including Make-A-Wish, America Needs You, The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, Susan G. Komen, and Rock & Rawhide.
When not making magic on screen or with his bare hands, Mark can be found studying Japanese martial arts, gaming, and researching his next project.
